The coach of Wikki Tourists, Mohammed Baba Ganaru, has continued to seek the understanding and patience of the club’s fans, even after the club’s 2-1 win over Katsina United over the weekend, in a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter halted a five-match winless spell.
No thanks to the losses, Ganaru found himself under immense pressure. But the win on Sunday saw him sing a different tune.
“It’s a good match and a tough one at the same time. I knew we’ll get it right.I can’t just understand why we were getting bad results. We did everything right. Our pre-season was perfect only for league to start and we were getting poor result,” the tactician told www.npfl.ng after the match.
Inspite of the win, though, the coach has pleaded with the fans supporters to “show understanding,” as the club continues to find ways of turning it fortunes around.
“That’s football for you, I just want our fans to be patient with us and, as time passes by, we’ll get it right,” he pleaded.
