The senator, representing Lagos central senatorial district in the National Assembly, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu at the weekend said she has forwarded the names of 21 schools to the Federal Ministry of Education to provide toilet facilities with motorised boreholes which will cost N213,000,000.
She disclosed this at the 21 Town Hall meeting held at Lekki-Epe axis of Lagos to render her account of stewardship to members of her constituency.
According to her, the schools to benefit from the gesture are: Stadium Junior High School, Iponri Estate Junior, Okesuna Junior High School amongst others.
“I have forwarded an additional list of 21 schools within our district to the committee on appropriation, to be included in the 2017 zonal intervention projects. This is for the provision of toilet facilities with motorised bore holes under Federal Ministry of Education.
Senator Tinubu who implored youth to dream big, added that starting small is the key to entrepreneurship.
“I urge you to read, learn new skill and study lives of some of the great individuals and organisations that have made an impact,” she added.
The Senator added that in furtherance of her empowerment activities, N50, 000 each would be given to 32 beneficiaries under the Petty Traders Empowerment Scheme (PETECS).
