
In what promises to become the union of 2017, Ponfa Binfa popularly known as Blackah has hooked up with showbiz impresario, Sound Sultan.
The union which is already yielding dividend to Jos, Plateau State born performing and recording artiste, gearing to take the cold city on a major deal this month.
The Jos indigene signed to top notch record label -Naija Ninja is the brain behind International Almajiri and also the Jos Jump and Jams Initiative International. In a chat with the media in Lagos penultimate week, the easy going young man explained that,”International Almajiri’s – Jos Jump and Jamz with Blackah – is an event geared towards Unity and Peace building in Plateau State. It is coming with the focus on sensitisation, informing and also educating the youths irrespective of their different ethnicity. Religious and even financial backgrounds against violence, abuse of drugs and other social vices affecting the society today.”
Blackah stressed that the essence is to, achieve the aim and objectives through Sports and Entertainment.
His word, ‘Jos Jump and Jamz with Blackah is free for all and also a nonprofit event. Blackah, alongside the International Almajiri team, currently partners with the top media platforms (Radio, Tv, Management Companies and other outlets) in Plateau State. He is also working with the popular individuals considered role models in and outside the state. They include but not limited to comedians, disk jockeys, musicians, on-air personalities, actors, sports men, presenters, event planners, managers. Guidance Counselors and Rehab personnel included’.
For starters, Ponfa Simon Binfa, popularly known as Blackah aka International Almajiri, a native of Laangta, is a contemporary dancehall artist with a touch of Hausa working under Naija Ninja
platform, and Blackah has dropped three singles under Sound Sultan’s label, Naija Ninjas, singles like Chicks and Drinks ft Ice Prince, Zamani and Mana style ft Iyanya and Yung l all with videos and now promoting Lova Boi a sweet reggae dance hall song. Blackah attended Plateau State Polytechnic to read urban and regional planning. Blackah is a dancer and also into modeling.
